What sizes of dumpsters do you offer?

We currently offer just a 20 cubic yard dumpster. Sone we will be providing a range of roll-off dumpsters - commonly 10, 15, 30, and 40 cubic yards. If you're not sure what size you need, just call us at 610-550-8885 and we’ll help you pick the right one based on how much debris and what type you’re disposing of.

How do I know what dumpster size is right for my project?

Think through how much waste you'll generate (how many rooms, how much demolition, etc.), and what type of debris (heavy vs. light). We can walk you through it. (Hint: it’s better to err bigger than too small.)

How much does it cost to rent a dumpster in the Lehigh Valley?

Accepted Answer

The cost depends on several factors: dumpster size, rental duration, type of debris, weight limits, and whether any permits are needed. We always aim to provide you with a transparent, all-in quote up front at Belles - no unpleasant surprises. If permits are required you must aquire. We are not responsible for getting you a permit; please check with your local township before booking a dumpster with us.

What is included in the rental fee?

Our standard quote includes delivery, pickup, local taxes, and disposal (tipping) fees - so you don’t have to juggle hidden charges. If there are extra costs (e.g. overage weight, prohibited items, extra time needed), we will clearly communicate them in advance.

How long can I keep the dumpster?

Typically, our base rental period is 7 days. If you finish early, we can pick it up sooner. If you need a longer duration, let us know - we can often extend with a daily rate.

Can I extend the rental period on short notice?

Accepted Answer

Yes - extensions are usually possible, depending on availability. Just contact us as soon as you realize you’ll need more time, and we’ll work with you.

Do I need to be present when the dumpster is delivered or picked up?

Accepted Answer

You don’t always have to be there, as long as you provide clear placement instructions and ensure the site is accessible (no cars, low overhangs, etc.). But if you’re available, it’s helpful to guide our driver.

Can the dumpster damage my driveway or property?

Accepted Answer

Dumpsters are heavy, and if placed on a delicate surface or uneven ground, damage is possible. To protect surfaces, we often recommend laying down plywood or boards under the dumpster. At Belles, our drivers take precautions and we’re insured to handle incidents.

Do I need a permit to place a dumpster?

Accepted Answer

It depends on where you're placing it. If it’s on your private property (driveway, yard), usually no permit is needed. But if it needs to go on a street, sidewalk, or other public right-of-way, many Lehigh Valley municipalities require a permit. We can help you find out whether your project needs one; but mainly up to you to find out and get one if required.

What kinds of items cannot go in the dumpster?

Accepted Answer

Generally, we can’t accept hazardous materials (paints, chemicals, asbestos, etc.), tires, batteries, propane tanks, certain appliances (with refrigerants), medical waste, and similar items. Always ask us for your location’s full “prohibited items” list. You see the entire prohibited items here.

Can I mix different types of debris (e.g. household junk + concrete)?

Sometimes - but mixing heavy materials like concrete or brick with lightweight materials can push you over the weight limit even if the dumpster looks mostly empty. We’ll advise you on whether mixing is okay for your situation.

What happens if I exceed the weight limit (go “overweight”)?

Accepted Answer

If you exceed the maximum allowed weight, you'll typically be charged an overage fee (often per additional ton). In extreme cases, the dumpster may be rejected for pickup until it’s unloaded. At Belles, we aim to help you avoid this by estimating and advising in advance.

How soon can you deliver the dumpster?

In many cases, we can deliver the next business day or even same day, depending on our schedule and your location. Just give us a call and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Can I move the dumpster once it’s delivered?

Accepted Answer

No - the dumpster is heavy and should stay where placed. If you need it moved, we’ll need to send a crew (with charges). So pick your placement carefully upfront.
